Living with chronic illness, cancer, or an invisible disability can feel overwhelming and isolating.

When your sense of self is disrupted, it can be difficult to find steady ground.

At Talk–Listen–Care Counseling, I offer a space where your story is met with compassion, curiosity, and care—
a place to lay down burdens and begin the work of healing.

Kintsugi: a story of restoration

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. Rooted in the philosophy of wabi-sabi, it embraces the beauty found in what has been broken rather than hiding it.

Our stories can become centered on chapters marked by illness, loss, trauma, or disappointment. Yet we are more than those chapters.

Like the artisan who sees more than broken pieces, I believe God sees the whole vessel—the whole story. As a Christian, I believe He does not discard what has been broken; He redeems it. In His hands, our wounds, failures, and scars need not define us. Instead, they become part of a greater story that reflects His grace, healing, and hope.

I work with individuals who are navigating:

  • Chronic illness and chronic pain

  • Cancer diagnosis and survivorship

  • Invisible or misunderstood conditions

  • Medical trauma and difficult healthcare experiences

As a Medical Family Therapist, my approach weaves together Narrative Therapy, Narrative Medicine, and a spiritually grounded perspective.

I believe healing begins when we are truly heard—when we are invited to speak freely, listened to deeply, and cared for without judgment.

Many of the individuals I work with have felt dismissed, rushed, or unseen in medical settings.

Here, your experience is taken seriously.

You are more than a diagnosis.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened…” (Matthew 11:28)

These words reflect the heart of this work—to provide rest for the weary, space for the brokenhearted, and care that honors your story and your worth.

It is my privilege to walk alongside you. Begin with a consultation.
